Church activities were now starting to become routine so not a lot of "new" events were being recorded. However, something happened in 1972 which had a major impact on church finances.. Northside churches joined the Inter Church Aid (ICA) which provided Arana Hills with interest free loans to pay off its debts.
Arana Hills youth travelled to the West Moreton churches for the annual Youth Exchange and a mission was conducted at Arana Hills by Gerald Pariott.
Attendences: Morning 29, Evening 14. Active members: 27. Bible School and Youth: 124.
On January 14, 1973, Gary and Judy Staddan concluded their 3 year part-time ministry. Glen and Betty Stibbe accepted the call to come to Arana Hills. Glen was a final year student at Kenmore Christian College.
On their return from Vanuatu, the McCoskers were able to join with us in celebrating our 7th Anniversary. Colin was the guest speaker.
Arana Hills continues to farewell members and friends for overseas mission service. Marion Lawrie to Africa and Fay Christensen to New Guinea. Fay, along with her twin sister Jan, had contributed their time and talents from the very early days at the Wilson home.
As a form of outreach and to encourage the building of relationships with the community, dinners were started matching church couples with contact couples.
Towards the end of the year and taking yet another step of faith, Glen Stibbe was invited to become our first full time minister. Glen, along with his family, was happy to accept.

Something which was very much part of 20th century church life was concerts, musicals, theatre restaurants and fund raisers, Arana Hills was no exception. It was a time and place where one could be someone else and get away with it. Above all, fun and enjoyment were the only prerequisites which was achieved most of the time. Here are a few shots of a concert held in 1973 involving an age range from youth to adults of the mature persuasion.
